At Guerrilla Hair Studio, I set out to create a space that stands out from your typical salon. I’ve been working professionally at salons in the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor area since 2013, and during that time I have come to realize that salon spaces aren’t always so queer friendly and tend to be centered around white beauty standards.

When I decided to found Guerrilla Hair Studio, I chose to center my project around queer and anti-racist principles.

To me, a salon experience is sacred. When guests sit in my chair, my goal is for them to know that they are safe & free to be their whole selves. There is nothing worse than meeting your new stylist and sitting through racist microaggressions or queerphobic bs. We don’t play that here!

By offering services by appointment only, I am able to ensure a safe, private, and relaxing service that is unique for each of you.

Before your appointment

• Please consider the health of others. If you are feeling ill, please reschedule.

• Explaining things can be difficult! Gather pictures of styles you like beforehand, pictures of looks you want to stay away from are just as informative.

• Not sure what you’re looking for? Text me to set up a consultation.

During your appointment

• You will receive a styling with your new look.

• One week for tweaks if need be after initial appointment (ask me about it!)
